We’re Brad and Janelle. And this—Haven Unbound—is the outpouring of our story, our scars, and our hope.
We come from a background of deep roots and deep wounds—years spent faithfully serving in conservative Anabaptist circles, only to find ourselves cast out when questions, grief, and honesty no longer fit the mold.
Our journey hasn’t been tidy. We’ve wrestled with betrayal, spiritual abuse, panic attacks, and a silence that sometimes felt deafening. But in the rubble of rejection, we found something fierce and beautiful: the kindness of Jesus. The real Jesus—not the version used to control, but the One who sits with the broken and calls them by name.
Haven Unbound is our way of offering what we longed for: a place to be heard, a place to heal, a place where faith can breathe again. It’s not a ministry of answers—it’s a ministry of presence. A place for the bruised reed and the smoldering wick.
We’re still healing. Still learning. But we believe God is making something beautiful out of ashes—and we’d be honored to walk with you in the same hope.
