What About Those Days?

June 30, 2025

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened,
and I will give you rest.”
Matthew 11:28

W hat about those days when you don’t feel like pushing on…?
Those days when you’re ready for someone else to carry the load, to push the wagon.
Those days when the path is just too rocky, too steep, to continue on.
Those days when it feels like God is distant—too distant to notice your pain.

What then?
How do you carry on when you just want to stop…?

God hears and sees you (I know, you’ve heard that before).
He cares about you (heard that too, but the Bible does say the hairs of your head are numbered).
The Bible also says that he that endures will be saved.

We’re not promised an easy life here on this earth.
We are promised an eternal one—if we remain faithful.

To the tired—this too shall pass…
Carry on another “one step at a time.”
All of life won’t be like it is right now.
Better days are coming.
And there will also be other hard times.
With Him you’ll make it through.
Carry on another day…

Father,
Grant me—I pray—a little oil and a little flour for today.
May I see You today, both in the people around me
and also at work in me.
Amen.
